Soundarya Sharma on participating in Bigg Boss 16
When asked what does she recall on hearing Bigg Boss, Soundarya Sharma answered, “Ladaai matlab, I don’t think I’m cut out for Bigg Boss. I say this myself because I don’t know how people will take it. Maybe, as they say, whatever is written will happen. My father and mother told me, ‘You should go,’ and discussions had been going on for a long time. I’ve never watched Bigg Boss in my life. My sister is an ardent fan, but I didn’t really know much about it because I don’t get into fights or arguments. And I’m not someone who would do things just for the camera or to present myself in a certain way. I’m very candid. If I feel it doesn’t make sense for me to fight or talk, I just can’t do it.”
The actress added,“Plus, I’ve never done any community living; I’ve never stayed in boarding school, so for me, even imagining how I would live in Bigg Boss was beyond my understanding. And over there, all the people—well, I haven’t done TV or any of that. I didn’t have that experience. For me, it was honestly very difficult, and I feel that most of the people were doing things for the camera. People would turn fake the moment they went inside.”
She said,“No matter how many fights there are, or whatever happens, you must have heard in interviews that many people say, ‘I’m not usually like this.’ Mostly, it was like that, and when I went there, I saw a different side to people. Though I didn’t know anyone personally beforehand, when you live there with people, it’s very different.”
Soundarya Sharma on her experience
Talking about her experience in Bigg Boss, Soundarya Sharma revealed,“So, my experience has been full of roller-coaster emotions and turmoil, but for the good. I believe whatever happens, happens for the best. And, I learned a lot, still haven’t become cunning, still haven’t learned to manipulate people, but yes, I feel that I’ve seen an aspect of life where I now understand that, yes, people can be like this. And, I mean, how long can you keep being fake? But no, in Bigg Boss, people can be fake for the longest time, for five months if you’re mentally prepared for anything and everything.”
The Thank God actress concluded, “See, for us, that thing might not be as important. Everyone has their own perspective in life, like for me, I want to do acting, I want to be in front of the camera, and I want to make it big. Everyone has their own desires from within. For me, it’s like this. For others, it might be like, ‘I must win the trophy, I have to stay like this.’ And, for me, it’s okay to be who I am.”
